Good service

Inspired by the wildly varying levels of service at restaurants in Harrisburg, seeking out good service seemed like a good start on a food story.

So I interviewed three servers at the Golden Sheaf, adults who consider waiting tables their career. That’s the high end. At the other end, I’d like to interview the people who wait on customers at the Subway in Strawberry Square — to me, it is the most courteous and professional fast-food service in central Pennsylvania.

This is where you come in.

I need a mid-level place like 2201 or The Firehouse or Flinchy’s, with moderately-priced appetizers and main courses. If you’ve eaten somewhere lately and liked the service, drop me an email. Or here.

Tell me something about the meal and what you liked about the service.

Next (or instead), let me know what you want in a waiter or waitress, and what you don’t. If you’re on the other end of the equation, tell me what you want in a customer, and what you don’t.
